Nouveau Event Planning was approached by CAA this past fall to organize the CAA Travel Show which showcased the extraordinary vacations CAA and it’s travel vendors offer to CAA customers. This show, which took place on October 15th, 2015, offered wonderful one-on-one opportunities for attendees to speak with travel professionals and get all of the important information required when booking a vacation.

Travel exhibitors also offered free workshops highlighting the various products offered to potential clients.

Nouveau also organized a children’s activity area and entertainment with an authentic German accordion player dressed in traditional lederhosen. Also, in the main hall attendees were swept away to the Caribbean with performances by Maracas Entertainment.

The Nouveau Event Planning team all ready for the big Contract Glaziers’ Team Building Day!

After a very successful 2014 Team Building Day, Contract Glaziers once again called upon Nouveau Event Planning to organize another action-packed day for their employees. Employees teamed up to compete at a variety of games throughout the day. Aside from a short shower during lunch, the weather was gorgeous for this event and it was another memorable day for Contract Glazier employees and Nouveau Event Planning staff alike!

This year marked the 24^th anniversary of The Fall Wedding Event hosted annually at Caboto Club of Windsor by Wedding Shows Windsor, a division of Nouveau Event Planning. This show was special for many reasons, including being the very first event for the newly hired Assistant Event Planner, Christy Litster, who took this position only a few weeks before the big show start!

When AV Gauge decided they wanted to throw an employee party to celebrate 30 years in business they called upon Nouveau Event Planning to coordinate the details on their behalf.  A Caribbean Themed event was carried out on a perfect summer evening.

From the custom ordered whole roasted pig to the pavilion specialty lighting, décor, photo booth and live music by Bigg Wiggle, a memorable landmark event was coordinated for all employees to enjoy.

Nouveau Event Planning took the work out of the planning from start to finish including compiling and packaging employees gifts given away that evening; ensuring mosquito concerns were addressed; consulting on risk management issues when serving employees alcohol; being the liaison with all suppliers hired for the evening; and onsite management of all setup and breakdown of the event.

Nouveau Event Planning was proud to be the local coordinator of the Fina Diving World Series competition, held at the Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre from May 22nd-24th.  The world’s best and brightest diving stars competed for their spots at this summer’s Toronto Pan Am Games and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio, and we were there for every excitement-packed moment of this thrilling competition!

Team Canda’s FABIV and men’s diving competitors made a special media & autograph signing appearance at Devonshire Mall, greeting the eager local fans who would support them throughout the competition. Everyone had a blast throughout the weekend– especially the divers, who took time out of their busy schedules to enjoy the custom-made Selfie Board that we designed specially for this event!

In the comfortable and convenient VIP lounge, overlooking the competition, guests, staff and officials from FINA & Diving Canada enjoyed delicious food and drink, catered by Windsor’s own Piccolo’s, and had a chance to relax while watching the competition in style.

Special thanks to Diving Plongeon Canada for bringing this thrilling event to Windsor! The whole community eagerly looks forward to the return of FINA to our city!

The third annual Run for Rocky, benefiting the Windsor Pride Community, Education and Resource Centre and Gay-Straight alliances in the region’s High School and Post Secondary School Systems, was held on April 12 and met with outstanding success. Hundreds of runner, walkers and supporters from Windsor and beyond gathered together in Dieppe Gardens Park for an afternoon in celebration and support of youth in our community, with funds raised going directly to benefit GSA programs within our schools.

For its three successful years, the Run for Rocky has commemorated and celebrated the life of Rocky Campana, who was a proud advocate and volunteer within the LGBTQ community. The Run honours Rocky’s memory in a meaningful way by contributing to a cause he was passionate about: the education and support of youth and the creation of safe spaces within our schools.

In addition to the many programs and services the funds raised through the run help to initiate, Windsor is sending a group of 25 educators and students to the 2015 Outshine National GSA conference in Winnipeg this May, funded in part through grants provided by the Windsor Pride-Run for Rocky. This conference is an invaluable educational experience for all attendees, and Windsor’s attendance is particularly important, as the first-ever Intarnational Outshine conference will be hosted in our city in 2017. The Windsor Pride-Run for Rocky delegation can’t wait to help Windsor welcome the world to our city!

Green Shield Canada once again hosted the most happening party in town, as their Las Vegas-themed Christmas party took over the Skyline Ballroom at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts this weekend.

A holiday celebration with all the glitz and glamour of vintage Vegas, this party was definitely a night to remember.

From  glamorous decor to showgirl greeters to the popular casino area, guests dined and danced the night away in style.
