Under a very tight deadline, Nouveau Event Planning was hired to organize the Opening Ceremony Reception, the nightly Athletes Village activities and the Closing Ceremony banquet by CARHA Hockey World Cup. One of the largest coordination jobs in our 30 year history was both rewarding and exciting for Nouveau Event Planning to be involved in.
The opening ceremonies began at Caesars Windsor with a dramatic presentation of the new CARHA Hockey World Cup trophy, which was ushered in by a live marching band and Vegas-style showgirls!
Over 2300 players assembled with their teams and then paraded through the streets of downtown Windsor. The final stop was a street party hosted by the City of Windsor.
Throughout the week Nouveau Event Planning organized a variety of activities that included the Molson Canadian gaming area; The PS4 Lounge; nightly live musical entertainment; an internet café with charging stations; and the very special Canadian Club evening!
The week came to a close with a thrilling Closing Ceremony Gala situated on two levels of Caesars Windsor. Over 1800 players, volunteers, and staff celebrated the end of a life time of memories and friendships created through the CARHA Hockey World Cup experience!
